ABOUT THE BRAND

My name is Blaire & I have always had a soft spot for a great dress. After nearly twenty years working in the fashion industry, specialising in luxury womenswear, I have created my own label focusing on what I love: pretty dresses to wear every day. 

Made from GOTS certified organic cotton, produced in small quantities with a minimum waste policy, ST.CLAIR designs pieces which are made by hand to treasure, for modern women with a romantic aesthetic. 

Designed to be worn by women at all stages of life, dressed up or down, our signature fit accentuates the waist & is loose over the hips. All our garments are lined & machine washable. 

 All our prints are unique to ST. CLAIR, inspired by vintage florals & the English countryside. They are painted in watercolour, then printed onto the softest organic Indian cotton. Each dress is finished by hand with traditional embroidery techniques such as hand-smocking, to create a collection of feminine, practical & enduring silhouettes, which we hope will remain in your wardrobe for years to come.

THE NAME

St. Clair is the middle name of the women in our family, from my late Nana to my daughter. To me the name represents an idea of heritage & innate femininity, which I hope to be at the core of the collection. It encapsulates a spirit that is the fabric of the brand.

 MADE IN INDIA 

ST. CLAIR dresses are designed in London & proudly made in India. A huge amount of the world's cotton comes from India & the region of Delhi is renowned as a mecca for the art of hand-smocking. We care about preserving heritage skills and supporting local artisans and are proud to work with a single, family-owned & female-run production in New Delhi.
